TOM Gist: Tyga Says Kylie Jenner Relationship ‘Overshadowed’ His Talents
Tyga is single and enjoying life.
The rapper appeared on Los Angeles radio station Real 92.3 to promote his new single “1 of 1” on Friday (Jun. 17) and during the interview, he opened up about his high-profile split with Kylie Jenner.
“When you’re in a very public relationship like that, it’s hard for
other people to see you differently,” he told Big Boy. “Being in that, it took a lot from me, just, career-wise and everything. It overshadowed a lot of my talents and a lot of things I worked hard for.”
Despite the breakup, the former couple still remains friends. Kylie
recently joined her ex in Kingston, Jamaica, where he shot a video for “1 of 1.” According to TMZ, they’re not getting back together and remain “just friends.”
However, T-Raww didn’t close the door on a reunion. “I respect you,” he said of Jenner. “You respect me. Maybe later on in life, maybe we might come back, but right now, I want to focus on what I need to do.”
In addition to readying his new project B!tch I’m the Shit 2 , he is
venturing into Hollywood. He recently appeared in Barbershop: The Next Cut and can also be seen in the upcoming action comedy Going Under starring Bruce Willis.
